Essex and Southend LINk held a successful public meeting at Chelmsford Central Baptist Church on 17th June 2009. At the meeting the Annual Reprt and Accounts for the LINk for 2008-2009 were adopted as was the spoending plan for the next two years. The plan for the development of the Essex and Southend LINk for the next two years was also adopted. A report of the meeting will be posted shortly.

LINk stands for Local Involvement Network – a network of individuals, groups and communities, who want to work together to improve local health and social care services.
Our LINk covers all of the provinces of Essex County Council (ECC) and Southend-on-Sea Borough Council (SBC). You are a member of/participant in the Essex & Southend LINk if you are a citizen of those local authorities or a user of health and social care services within those boundaries.

NHS patients who need to have a diagnostic ultrasound may soon have the chance to attend Oak Road Surgery on Canvey Island, if they are registered with one of the 9 GP practices in Canvey, Benfleet and Hadleigh which make up the HBC Practice Based Commissioning Group
